"Additive manufacturing" – often better known as 3D printing – will be presented for the first time by Jung & Co. in January at NORTEC,. This refers to production using materials, like stainless steel, titanium or aluminium and plastics, although the latter is not publicised and advertised as frequently. Additive manufacturing is not just market-ready for these materials, but renowned customers are already taking advantage of its benefits. It represents a perfect solution when highly complex contours or geometries need to be produced, which can no longer be manufactured using conventional machine tools.
We are offering our customers this new technology in house on a state-of-the-art system, which we complement with our high-performance CNC manufacturing, depending on the component requirements.
This enables the necessary threads, fits and even demanding shape and position tolerances to be produced on additively manufactured parts.
We predominantly perform the measurements needed during production very efficiently on our 3D measuring equipment. Free-form surfaces produced are also measured in a tactile manner on these systems by scanning.
Jung & Co. therefore combines modern additive manufacturing with proven CNC production and measuring technology.
